Care Plan Cheat Sheet

SEE WHAT MATTERS

1. Overview

This will help to ‘unpack’ the details in your monthly reports.

We focus on the areas of performance, security and maintenance.

This ensures your website is operating at peak levels and working for your business.

Daily safety net

2. Backup

Think of backups as your digital safety net.

We take a full copy of your WordPress site twice a day.

One backup is kept on your server for quick restoration, and the other is stored in a secure off-site data centre.

If anything ever goes wrong, we can restore a fully working version of your site in minutes—no drama, no downtime.

Always protected

3. Security

Your website’s security is non-negotiable.

We treat it like our own—with 24/7 malware scanning, real-time threat detection, and advanced firewall protection.

We stay on guard so your website stays safe from cyber threats before they become real problems.

Built for speed

4. Optimisation

Speed matters to your customers and to search engines.

We regularly fine-tune your site’s performance by compressing files, managing caching, and removing unnecessary code.

The result? A faster, smoother experience for everyone who visits your site.

Always on

5. Uptime Monitoring

Even a few minutes of downtime can hurt your traffic, sales, and reputation.

That’s why we monitor your site around the clock.

If your website ever goes down, we’re notified immediately and we act fast to bring it back online, often before you or your visitors even notice.

Stay current

6. Updates & Maintenance

Keeping your website up to date is crucial for both security and stability.

We handle all WordPress core, plugin, and theme updates for you no more surprise errors or outdated features.

Your website stays current, compatible, and hassle-free.

Peak speed, daily

7. Performance

Every day, we run your site through professional-grade tools to track speed, detect any slowdowns, and fix issues quickly.

From compressing large images to cleaning up bloated code, we work to keep your website smooth, fast, and high-performing.

Data that drives

8. Analytics

Analytics tell the story of your website’s visitors what they’re viewing, how they behave, and where they drop off.

These insights aren’t just numbers; they’re powerful clues that help guide smart business decisions and strategic improvements.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Our approach is different. Here are some answers to your most common questions.

How long does a new website project take?

Most new, professional websites take 4–8 weeks depending on complexity. We'll give you a clear timeline upfront—and stick to it.

Do I need to provide content?

If you have content, great. If not, we can help with messaging, copywriting, and sourcing visuals that fit your brand. We have different subscriptions to high quality stock photography that our customers can use under our licence (potentially saving you hundreds of dollars). We also work with top-tier copywriters who specialise in SEO-friendly website content to craft compelling content that speaks to your audience.

Will my new site work on mobile devices?

Absolutely. 70% - 80% of website traffic these days is on mobile devices, so every site we build is responsive, fast, and designed to look great on any screen.

Can you redesign an existing website?

Yes. We'll assess what’s working, what’s not, and whether to rebuild from scratch or evolve your current setup. Many customers we welcome just let a website polish and better support and maintenance.

What’s the difference between a custom website and a template?

A custom website is designed around your brand’s goals, customer journey, and conversion strategy. It’s tailored for flexibility and performance, unlike templates which are often generic, restrictive, and harder to scale.

What technology does Wolf IQ use?

We use WordPress (which is the dominant website technology accounting for >50% of all websites) —it’s flexible, powerful, and easy to manage. You’ll be able to update content yourself after launch.

Can I save money by hiring a freelance designer or using a DIY website builder?

Freelance and DIY options exist but they end up costing you much more long term. Hiring a professional web design agency ensures your website is optimised for growth, performance, security, and conversions. If you're thinking about DIY and running a business that wants to make real money, this article is for you.

Will I be able to manage the website once it's live?

Definitely. We'll show you how to update content, and if you need extra support, our Care Plans are here for that.

Is SEO included in a website build?

Yes. We set up every site with foundational SEO best practices—technical setup, meta tags, speed optimization, and more. This is one of the biggest gaps we see with new customers who come from DIY solutions. Our onboarding includes a full SEO audit to ensure your website ranks well, gets found and performs well.

What’s the process for a new website design?

There are four key steps - Planning and Strategy, Website Design, Website Development, then finally QA and Launch. Throughout the process we cover everything from mobile optimization, SEO setup etc. —and everything you need to get confident in your online growth.

Can Wolf IQ integrate different plugins, integrations and other features?

Yes - most WordPress websites use a bunch of plugins behind the scenes for different functionality (such as emails, forms, payments etc.). For example, most of our customers with ecommerce websites use WooCommerce and Stripe, which we can set-up and manage for you as part of your new website.

How much does a new website cost?

Projects vary depending on size and complexity, however for a businesses that is serious about winning online, a general range is $5,000 to $25,000. We'll give you a fixed quote after a quick consult—no surprises later.
