Someone Is Impersonating Wolf IQ

Someone has been emailing Wolf IQ clients pretending to be Andy Crebar, our Founder & Owner. The emails come from [email protected] β€” not a Wolf IQ address β€” using subject lines like "Immediate Action Required: Website Compliance and Renewal Updates."

Report a suspicious email

How to Verify It's Really Us

Check the sender's email address

We only ever email from @wolfiq.com.au. Never Gmail, Yahoo, or any free email address β€” even if the name, photo, and signature look exactly right. Copying those is easy; copying our domain isn't.

We never ask for payment by PayPal or bank transfer

All Wolf IQ billing runs through your existing agreed billing method. We will never email you out of the blue asking you to urgently pay via PayPal or wire a bank transfer for "maintenance" or "compliance."

Contact us directly, don't reply to the message

If anything about an email claiming to be from Andy or Wolf IQ feels off, reach out through our Contact page or a phone number/email you already have on file β€” not the details in the suspicious message.

What the Fake Emails Looks Like

A recreation of the message our clients received, with the recipient's name and the scammer's payment details removed. Three things give it away:

  1. A Gmail sender address

Real Wolf IQ email only ever comes from @wolfiq.com.au, never a free address.

  2. Manufactured urgency

A vague deadline you've never heard of, invented to rush you into paying before you check.

  3. PayPal or bank transfer

We never ask for payment this way. All billing runs through your existing agreed method.

If You Get a Suspicious Email

Don't click any links, don't reply, and don't pay anything. Instead:

  1. Report it as phishing in Gmail. See Google’s instructions for reporting phishing.

  2. Forward the message to us at [email protected] so we can verify it and warn other clients if needed.

Common Questions

How do I know this email isn't actually from Andy or Wolf IQ?

Check the sender address β€” we only ever email from @wolfiq.com.au, never Gmail. We also never ask for payment by PayPal or bank transfer over email. If in doubt, don’t click anything and contact us directly through this website.

I already paid, or I'm about to. What do I do?

Stop and don't send anything further. Contact us immediately at [email protected] or 1300 072 134. If you've already paid, also contact your bank or PayPal directly to report it and ask about reversing the transaction.

Does this mean my website was hacked?

No. This is email impersonation, not a breach of your site or our systems. The scammer copied Andy's name, photo, and signature to make the email look convincing β€” they haven't accessed your website or our systems unless you've separately shared login details with them.

Why can't Wolf IQ just stop this from happening?

We can't prevent someone from creating a lookalike Gmail account or block them from emailing your business directly. What we can do is report the account, warn clients, and make it easy to check whether an email genuinely came from us β€” which is why this page exists.

When in doubt

Not sure if an email is really from us?

Don't reply and don't pay anything. Reach out to us directly and we'll confirm right away whether it's genuine.
